ABOUT

Elina Peduzzi explores her fundamental interest in questioning by creating political objects.  These political objects are embodied in her broad range of work which includes everything from small scale sculpture to art jewelry.   Elina's work is heavily influenced by the experience she gained early in her career as a diplomat and her continuing deep personal interest in the political process.  Peduzzi’s work reflects her views about the broader concerns facing humanity. Oftentimes she chooses the subjects, in the moment in which they are unfolding, as a way to raise her voice and express a particular perspective on them.  In addition, having been raised in two different regions of South America, she embraces Latin American culture as part of her essential identity.   Peduzzi’s diverse artwork, which is sharp and inquisitive sometimes, and playful and celebratory other times, is a compendium of thoughts converted in objects - political objects. Elina holds a MFA in Spatial Arts from San Jose State University.
